Benevolent Fund

The Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund is a registered charity set up in 1993 with the consent of Queen Elizabeth II to support local good causes and community initiatives located primarily within the County Palatine.

Funds from the Benevolent Fund are allocated each year to the Lieutenancy offices of Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside. Applications from local good causes within these counties should therefore apply directly to the appropriate Lieutenancy office.

There is also a London Panel which considers applications from outside of the County Palatine but in areas which have a strong historic link to the Duchy and its estates. All applications must demonstrate a clear benefit to the local community.

For consideration by the London Panel, please fill in the application form by clicking here and return it to: benfund@duchyoflancaster.co.uk.
