First Fully Fitted Out Space Pre-Let

The Duchy of Lancaster has just completed and pre-let its first fully fitted CAT B office space.

The office suite at 9 Savoy Street was vacated by the previous tenant at the beginning of the first national lockdown as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Working with architects and interior designers and drawing heavily on the Duchy experience, the team refurbished the space before internally reconfiguring it and fitting it out.

The end result is a bright, open plan and contemporary office space with a series of break-out rooms and a large communal social/dining space at its core. The new tenants also benefit from the purpose-built shower rooms and cycle storage facilities available in the basement of the building as well as a private open air terrace with views of the River Thames.

Commenting on the project, Head of Urban Adrian Bayliss said: “This has been a difficult year for many businesses and as a result several City-based firms have chosen not to move or to expand until there is more certainty around the long-term impact of Covid-19. We wanted to make that decision to move even easier by providing more of a turn-key operation and ensuring that our office spaces are designed with the latest technology and working practices in mind. We are very pleased with the result and believe it is a good example of how landlords can respond positively to changing market need.”

The new tenants at 9 Savoy Street are leading international private equity and credit firm CVC.
