Project Manager Joins Duchy Team
Ian Bartlett (32) joins the Duchy from York-based conservation specialists William Anelay Ltd where he was Contracts Manager on the restoration of Durham Cathedral and after four years at Simpsons (York) where he led the team working on the Cathedral’s ‘Open Treasures’ project as well as the redevelopment of Temple Hall for St John’s University, York.
In his new role, Ian will assist the Duchy’s Head of Project Management, Graeme Chalk, on a number of joint venture development projects as well as our ongoing programme of refurbishment and repair currently underway across the Duchy’s rural portfolio.
Commenting on the appointment, Graeme Chalk said: “The Duchy has a significant pipeline of projects and we are very keen to ensure that these are delivered on time, on budget and to the standard of excellence we expect. This is a new role and one that we believe will add further value and efficiencies to our business. We look forward to welcoming Ian to the team.”
Ian will take up his new role on 7th November 2016 and will be based at the Duchy’s recently refurbished office suite at Lancaster Castle.
The Duchy of Lancaster is a historic portfolio of land and property assets which began as an ancient inheritance over 750 year ago. It generates a private income for the Sovereign, while protecting long-term capital values for future Dukes of Lancaster.
