Lettings Complete at Wellington House

The Duchy of Lancaster has successfully let the first floor of its prime central London office development, Wellington House, to leading theatre production company, Stage Entertainment UK.

This latest tenancy agreement signals full occupancy of the prestigious building, which achieved practical completion in December 2012.

Stage Entertainment UK, whose shows include the West End hits Hairspray, Sister Act and Singin’ in the Rain and the annual national arena tour of Strictly Come Dancing Live! has signed a ten year lease on 5,677 sq ft of space which will house its 20 strong UK staff team. Parent company, Stage Entertainment BV, is a global leader in live entertainment and employs over 4,000 people worldwide.

Chief executive officer of the Duchy of Lancaster, Nathan Thompson, said: “We are delighted to have successfully let the first floor of Wellington House to Stage Entertainment UK, one of the world’s most well-known entertainment companies.

“In just ten months Wellington House has achieved full occupancy – a testament to the high-quality accommodation and unrivalled London location that this prominent building offers.

Located on the corner of Lancaster Place and the Strand, Wellington House has undergone an extensive £9m refurbishment offering some 38,000 sq ft of Grade A office space.

Spanning seven floors, Wellington House includes a new roof terrace which enjoys stunning views of the River Thames and London skyline. Refurbished to the highest specification, the building also includes a remodelled and extended reception area and flexible office space with floors ranging from 3,880 – 5,568 sq ft.

Bounded by the Strand and Victoria Embankment but not including the Savoy Hotel, the buildings on this estate are mainly let as retail units and offices.
