Duchy lets second floor of Wellington House to EADS (UK) Ltd

The Duchy of Lancaster has successfully let the second floor of its prime central London office development, Wellington House to EADS (UK) Ltd.

Part of the EADS Group, a global leader in aerospace and defence, the company, will move from 111, Strand, to occupy 5,553 sq ft of space on a ten-year lease.

Chief executive officer of the Duchy of Lancaster, Nathan Thompson, said: “EADS (UK) Ltd is hugely innovate, global player which employs has a highly-skilled workforce and we are delighted to welcome the team to Wellington House.

“The building is now almost fully-tenanted – a testatment to the quality of refurbishment and central location of this prestigious and prominent building.”

Located on the corner of Lancaster Place and the Strand, Wellington House has undergone an extensive £9m refurbishment offering some 38,000 sq ft of Grade A office space. The refurbishment was completed in December 2012.

This letting means that six floors are now fully occupied, with only the first floor still available.

Spanning seven floors, Wellington House includes a new roof terrace which enjoys stunning views of the River Thames and London skyline. Refurbished to the highest specification, the building also includes a remodelled and extended reception area and flexible office space with floors ranging from 3,880 – 5,568 sq ft.

Bounded by the Strand and Victoria Embankment but not including the Savoy Hotel, the buildings on this estate are mainly let as shops and offices.
