The Duchy of Lancaster is committed to active, commercial stewardship of a complex asset portfolio.
The Duchy's assets take the form of landed estates, urban property and financial investments. Valued at approximately £341m, they are a long-term capital holding of the Crown. The resulting revenues provide an important source of income to the Sovereign. In all the Duchy's transactions, efficient revenue generation is carefully balanced against the need to provide income for future generations of Sovereigns.
