Following extensive consultation with East Staffordshire Borough Council, approval was given in July 2010 to convert the farm buildings at Hanbury Grange into two 3-bedroom and two 2-bedroom houses each offering a large double garage and workshop.

The existing courtyard layout has been retained and a parlour building, which was home to a pair of barn owls, has been replaced with modern living accommodation that incorporates many of the previous property’s original features. The barn owls have been moved to new owl boxes which were put up across the surrounding farmland and woodland.

Construction was completed in early 2011, with all of the properties let to local people by early May 2011, including families and individuals running small businesses.
