Bolton wrestling club receives royal support

The Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund has awarded Bolton Olympic Wrestling club a £500 grant following its success at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

The club has roots dating back more than 90 years and has produced Olympic, World, European, Commonwealth and National medallists.Its most recent successes, Craig Pilling and Louisa Porogovska, both won bronze medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Vice Lord Lieutenant Edith Conn visited the centre on Wigan Road, Bolton to meet the members and coaches and present the club with the cheque on behalf of the Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund.
