Duchy appoints Linley & Simpson for Harrogate development

The Duchy of Lancaster has appointed award-winning letting agents Linley & Simpson to market its new residential development in Harrogate.

Linley & Simpson – one of Yorkshire’s leading independent letting agencies – is inviting enquiries for Granville House and Villiers House at 11 Ripon Road, which is owned and managed by the Queen’s Estate.

Granville House is a Victorian era building which has been converted from its former use as offices, while Villiers House is a three-storey new build complex.

The Duchy of Lancaster has invested £2million in the sustainable development, which comprises 13 one and two bedroom apartments in total – four in the historic Granville House and nine in the newly-built Villiers House.

Prospective tenants are now able to register their interest, with the apartments available to let from September.

Emma Horton, Branch Manager at Linley & Simpson Harrogate, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to rent within a prestigious residential development in a very desirable area of Harrogate.

“The development consists of two buildings: Granville House, a 3,850 sq ft converted traditional Villa with four, spacious two bedroom apartments and Villiers House, a new 6,450 sq ft building to the rear of the development containing a mix of one and two bedroom apartments.

“Each apartment will be finished to a high standard in neutral tones and tenants will also benefit from landscaped greenery and allocated parking spaces.”

Designed by Wetherby-based architects Wildblood Macdonald, both buildings have strong green credentials, with high performance double glazing, high efficiency and low emission boilers and LED lighting.

Prices of the two bedroom apartments range from £900 pcm to £1,600 pcm.

The buildings have been named in honour of 19th century Duchy Chancellors, Sir Granville George Leveson-Gower and George Villiers, who strongly championed the growth of Harrogate as an upmarket spa town.
